About me

I've spent most of my life life working with horses and dogs, children and also had a working farm for years. With a background in health, nutrition and equine massage therapy and over 20 years of experience working with small animals, both domesticated and wild in the film industry, I bring a deep understanding of animal behavior and care to my breeding program.

My dad instilled a deep love of purebred dogs in me as a young child. He taught me that a conscientious breeder that commits to raising healthy, sound puppies with great temperaments, is a gift to a dog's life. Its the 'forever effect' of how we treat and care for our dogs, how we raise our puppies, and the support we give the families that adopt them. I'm forever grateful for the knowledge and passion for dogs that my dad gifted me.

My mission is to raise healthy, happy, confident, and well-adjusted puppies while continually improving my knowledge and practices. I will continue to work tirelessly with every new Kootenay Kissed family to ensure a happy lifelong relationship with their new family member. I will answer questions, offer practical advice, or guidance on every aspect of that puppy or dog's life, based on many years of hands on experience while implementing new science and evolving methods plus new approaches in training, diet and caring for every aspect of your dogs health.

I am committed to being a lifelong learner, regularly pursuing further education in canine nutrition, health, training, behavioral science, and enrichment, including areas such as animal psychology and bodywork.

My girls are part of my family and together we enjoy trick training through games, paddleboarding as well as camping. And we love going to dog shows to learn and compete. My girls are seasoned travelers.

Every dog is a sentient being and I strive to respect and support these differnences in their personalities every moment of every day.
